The Theory behind the name...

Hello, my name is Graham. Welcome to Mayhem School of Motoring.

Mayhem has been my nickname since my teens given to me by my friends. I enjoyed playing practical jokes on people and I was often .acting the goat.. To an extent I still enjoy practical jokes today. It would be fair to say that I was a bit of a rebel then. As most young people I did not like to conform and I liked to push boundaries. I was into motorbikes for the joy of riding, sense of freedom, independence and image (which was everything). I still enjoy riding motorbikes and drive cars for not quite the same reasons. I grew up.

I decided to call my driving school Mayhem School of Motoring because it is non-conforming, different, and the name shows my sense of humour. However, this does not imply that I do not take my work as a driving instructor seriously.

I aim for my teaching style to be flexible and adaptive to the various needs of students. I like to create an informal, calm and comfortable environment to encourage learning. I want my students to feel relaxed and reassured regardless of their different learning needs and styles.

The roads are getting busier and driving is becoming more and more demanding. It is my aim to teach my students a safe and defensive driving style, to minimise risks associated with driving and to cope with today.s traffic environment.

In short, Mayhem School of Motoring is all about a calm, friendly, creative and safe approach to teaching learner drivers safe driving for life.
