Driving Test Centre Information
Every test centre in the country has different recognised test routes which present different challanges when taking your test. Learning by driving only around possible test routes will not necessarily help you pass any quicker as it is best to practise in as many conditions as possible.
- Bridlington
During the summer, the amount of the traffic on the roads increases as well as the pedestrians. You must take extra care for road users not knowing where they are going and pedestrians stepping out into the road. Aside from this, the test routes are not difficult in any way for the reasonably competent driver. Be aware that parking at the centre is not always easy. This test centre is open Monday-Friday and you shouldn't have to wait to long for a test date.
- Scarborough
Similar to Bridlington, Scarborough picks up the pace. It has the same examiners as in the Bridlington centre. A word of warning however - be up to scratch with your Bay Reverse Parking as you may be asked to perform one at this test centre.

Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their life. After you pass your test you can have extra structured tuition which includes the follwing modules:
- Town Driving - driving in town can be daunting: rush hour traffic, complicated junctions and traffic systems... learn the skills to deal with all these and more
- All-weather driving - Rain, fog, bright sunshine, snow and ice: find out how to drive safely in all the different weather conditions you'll face on the road
- Driving out of town - Country roads can harbour all kinds of hazards, from sharp bends and potholes to farm vehicles and animals in the road
